News From Google (March 14, 2013)
They will retire the Google Reader on July 1, 2013. I'm already looking for alternatives to support and I'm sure that there will be some more interesting ones released during the next couple of days/weeks/months. I'll keep you informed! Please be patient and don't switch overhasty to a other Google Reader alternative. It will still work for ~3,5 months.
Please sign this online petiton: Google: Keep Google Reader Running. I'm sceptical about the success of this petition, but it's worth a try.

- Which iOS Version do you use?
- Is your iPad jailbroken? Does it also crash when you disable all of your installed tweaks/hacks?

I changed my Google password, where can I change it in Mr. Reader?
I can't login, and I'm sure that I've entered the correct mail address and password.
Or do you use an Google Apps account? A working solution that sounds very crazy: You can fix it by given your Google Apps account just a new password. It seems that Google updates/fixes something behind the scenes in this case. Had some users with this problem and it worked for all of them. And it doesn't matter if other Apps or services work without problem at the moment.
Login failed due to a required CAPTCHA?
If it is still not working, then please open this Google website to unlock the captcha: https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
I always have to re-login to Flattr, Facebook, etc. the next time I'm starting Mr. Reader. Can you fix this?
Do you see the 'Database Upgrade' dialog on every start?
Sorry, but the only way to get it back running is to delete and re-install it.
I marked items as read and after a sync the read items show up again!
1. tap and hold the Settings button and tap on 'Delete Pending Actions'
2. open the Settings dialog, tap on 'Account' (top left) and just press 'Login'
I'm getting error 400 messages, what's wrong?
This info is from a user and already helped some others. He found it out by using the Safe Mode when the iPad soft boots into an environment where all jailbreak system extensions are disabled.
"It seems that the offending tweak was not KBshortcuts, but rather one called AnyAttach and/or its dependent app sandcastleclient. AnyAttach binds into native mail compose views and allows multiple file an photo attachments from any directory via a pop up menu. Sandcastleclient allows access to any sandboxed application's files from AnyAttach's interface. Once those two extensions are removed, Mr. Reader works as normal."
It's not jailbroken?
Please tap and hold the Mr. Reader Settings button and press 'Delete Pending Actions'. Now try to synchronize.
FAQ : Theme Editor
The Theme Editor is well hidden, where can I find it?
Why is the Theme Editor web based and not inside the App?
1. when you have created new icons - for example in Photoshop - and you wan't to see how they look like in Mr. Reader. It's much easier to drag those images to the upload field on the theme editor web page and see them immediately in Mr. Reader.
2. the dialog to modify the colors will always be in the way and overlap that part I want to change. It's much faster to do it on the theme editor web page and to see every adjustment in the color chooser in "real time" on the iPad.
3. When you use the same colors at different places, it's still more comfortable to use copy&paste on a Mac or PC than on the iPad. Also you have a much better overview about your theme adjustments on the larger screen.
Why did you create this Theme Editor instead of adding my most missing feature?
It took me about 1 month to create those 4 existing themes in code. Creating the Theme Editor only one week, and now a new theme can be created in seconds, minutes or hours (for example when you create new icons).
This saves me a lot of time (support & creating a additional theme), and now I can invest it in implementing your feature request. I hope you understand my decision. Thanks!
